His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej baptized infant Milan, with the prayerful assistance of protosingelos Vasilije (Gavrilovich), the abbot of Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Milton, Very Rev. Dusan Gnjatich, rector of St. George parish in Waterloo, and Rev. Aleksandar Crnogorac, diocesan secretary, and protodeacon Dr. Damjan Bozhich.
Milan is the firstborn son of deacon Djuradj and Bojana Kojich from Kitchener, Ontario. Father Djuradj Kojich, hailing from Trnjani near Doboj, completed seminary in Kragujevac at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Seminary, and then graduated from the Theological Faculty in Libertyville. He was ordained to the diaconate by Bishop of Canada Georgije (Djokich) in March of 2015. His spouse Bojana has a masters degree in geography from Concordia University in Montreal.
Little Milan was born in February 2015. This is yet another good event in the Canadian diocese – the baptism of a newborn by the hand of His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch.
