There was a grand celebration of the holiday of St. Peter and Paul at the Serbian Church community in Calgary. Father Obrad served a Holy Liturgy and many of the fateful took part in a Holy Communion. Children choir under the leadership of Sanja Djelic and Milanka Filipovic sang during the Liturgy. At the church hall dr Majda Djordjevic, a retired professor of The University of Calgary, gave a moving lecture on life and work of Nikola Tesla. This presentation was followed by a standing ovation. As always, our own Cultural Society Frula took part in the program. Three singing and four dancing groups performed for all the guests. Food and drinks prepared by the Circle of Serbian Sisters and Board of Directors followed, as it is customary in our tradition. Sports Club Serbia organized a friendly game against a local club from neighbouring city of Okotoks. Friendly fellowship of faithful at their Church property continued until the evening.
