On Wednesday September 14, when the Church celebrates the beginning of the Church new year, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej served Holy Liturgy in the monastery chapek in Milton. He was accompanied by Rev. Jovan Marjanac, diocesan secretary, and protodeacon Damjan Bozic. Holy Liturgy was also prayerfully attended by his Grace Bishop Mitrofan. The responses were sung by protosingelos vasilije, abbot of Milton Monastery, deacon Djuradj Kojic, deacon from Mississauga, and Milorad Delic, theologian from the Diocese of Backa. The Monastery chapel is dedicated to the Holy Three Hierarchs.
Following Holy Liturgy, His Holiness scheduled meetings with diocesan bodies in regard to the handover of the Canadian Diocese to the newly elected Bishop of Canada Dr. Mitrofan.
