His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej, administrator of the Canadian Diocese, arrived in Canada on September 13, 2016, for a seven day canoncial visit.
His Holiness Irinej will chair several meetings with the Episcopal Deputy, Diocesan Deans, members of the Diocesan Council, representatives of the Circle of Serbian Sisters, and individuals. His Holiness will spend all seven days in his residence in Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Milton.

His Holiness was warmly greeted at Pearson International Airport by many priests, led by the Bishop-elect of Canada His Grace Dr. Mitrofan, in the presence of general consul of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Spasoje Milicevic and several believers.

On Saturday Sept. 17. His Holiness will lead the celebrations in Windsor on the occasion of 50 years since the consecration of St. Demetrius church, with the accompaniment of many bishops. The following day His Holiness will enthrone Bishop Mitrofan into the holy throne of the Serbian Orthodox Bishops of Canada.

His holiness will return to Serbia next wekk. He is accompanied by protodeacon Damjan Bozic.
