,,GRAČANICA” CHURCH SCHOOL MARKED GRADUATION
On Sunday, July 4, the Divine Liturgy was served, upon which the students of the eighth (final) grade of the “Gračanica” Church School were each awarded a diploma.
After the Liturgy, Fr. Vladimir Vranić addressed the students congratulating them on their success, but also expressing gratitude to the parents for their perseverance in bringing their children to the “Gračanica” Church School. Special gratitude was also expressed to the team of dedicated teachers who selflessly gave their time and knowledge to the students throughout the school year.
Then, the former Principal/Director of the Church School, Mirjana Vujanović, read about each graduating student what characterizes them most as unique individuals, after which each was presented with a diploma. The new Principal/Director of the Church School, Milena Stevanov, on behalf of the school, presented each graduate with a gift – Bible with a specially engraved name of the student (sponsored by Mr. Goran Todorovic), as well as the book of the Divine Liturgy in Church Slavonic, Serbian and English, an Orthodox prayer book and an icon. It was a reminder of the school so that the graduates would always remember where they grew up spiritually.
Fr. Vladimir expressed his special gratitude to the previous Principal/Director of the School, Mirjana Vujanović, for running the school, especially in an extremely challenging period during the strict Covid measures. – Mirjana, You gave your experience, love and dedication to the Church School near Gračanica, and we hope that in the future, in the capacity in which you are able, you will help with your vast experience in the educational work of our school.
On this occasion, the new Principal/Director of the school, Milena Stevanov, was introduced to the church community, who expressed her desire to continue everything that has been done well so far, but also to continue improving the life of the “Gračanica” Church School. Fr. Vladimir wished Milena Stevanov and the team of teachers much success in leading and further improving the “Gračanica” Church School.
In the rest of the day, the team from the Church School organized a lenten table of love for all present in the church hall, and then all the students of the school continued the celebration in the water park for fun and socializing.
