Protosyngel Sava (Medakovich) was born in the United States to father Stephen and mother Virginia. Before coming to the Diocese of Canada in 2019, he was the spiritual father of the New Marcha Monastery in Richfield, Ohio (Diocese of Eastern America). He is an alumnus of the combined Iona College St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary undergraduate program receiving a BS and of St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary (MDiv).
