Spiritual Music Concert Held in Whitby
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, under the arches of the Saint Arsenije Sremac Church in Whitby, the sacred music concert Let our Prayers Arise was held by the Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Church Choir under the direction of concert conductor Ivana Lukic, church conductor John Lukich and assistant church conductor Milos Kostich. The master of ceremonies for the night was Olga Lukic.
Those present in the packed church could enjoy the performance of beautiful liturgical, church and worship compositions by famous Serbian and Russian composers. This wonderful gathering was also attended by distinguished guests from the Town of Whitby such as Member of Provincial Parliament Lorne Coe, Councillor Niki Lundquist and Regional Councillor Steve Yamada, as well as the Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in Toronto Dejan Erakovic who spoke on the occasion about the importance of Saint Arsenije of Srem for our Church and history.
The concert ended with thunderous applause from all present and the distribution of red roses to the choir members. After the concert, a service was held in the church hall, which was organized by the hardworking sisters of the Mala Gospojina Circle of Serbian Sisters.
All proceeds from the concert will go to the church in Whitby.
