Sunday of Orthodoxy in Lakeshore
On the first Sunday of Great Lent — the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy — the Holy Liturgy was celebrated at the Saint Petka Church in Lakeshore, served by Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Bozo Bakajlic, with the concelebration of the local parish priest, Fr. Marko Dimic, and in the prayerful presence of the retired Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Miroljub Todorovic.
The faithful gathered in prayer and spiritual joy, celebrating the victory of the Orthodox faith and remembering the importance of preserving the true confession of faith throughout the centuries. Following Holy Communion, Fr. Bozo addressed the congregation with an appropriate sermon, teaching about the deep meaning of today's holiday and calling on everyone to persevere in faith, prayer and fasting.
May this sacred Sunday strengthen us as we journey through Great Lent, so that with faith, humility, and love we may worthily welcome the joy of Christ’s Resurrection.
