The Meeting of the Lord in the Temple Celebrated in Hamilton
Today, the Saint Nicholas Church on Barton Street in Hamilton joyfully celebrated the Slava of the folklore group at the church – The Meeting of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ in the Temple. The Holy Liturgy was celebrated by retired Protopresbyter-Stavrophor Lazar Vukojev, after which the Slava kolach and wheat were blessed. After the Holy Liturgy, the gathering continued in the church hall. The godparents and hosts of this year's Slava were Luka and Ksenija Djurdjevic, and Simeon Pijanovic accepted the godparentship for next year. We wish the children many years of health, happiness and continued success.
