Saint Peter's Day in Whitby
On Sunday, July 12, 2026, on the feast of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul – Petrovdan (Saint Peter's Day), the Holy Liturgy was celebrated in the Saint Arsenije Sremac Church in Whitby. The Holy Liturgy was celebrated by Fr. Ivan Radovic, a priest of the Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Budimlja and Niksic, with the concelebration of the local parish priest Fr. Milos Puric and with the prayerful participation of numerous faithful. Fr. Ivan addressed those present with an appropriate pastoral homily.
After the Holy Liturgy, the hardworking members of this Church and School Congregation organized a Saint Peter's Day picnic and gathering with Serbian specialties in the newly renovated church courtyard, which now includes a new pavilion and a children's playground. The day passed peacefully in brotherly love and harmony. To God be the glory and praise.
